First Day Reading: Way to go!

With Rally Reader, we know that practicing reading can sometimes be challenging. Especially if reading is hard, it might be the last thing you want to do! In order to inspire our growing readers, we’ve created a variety of fun badges that they can collect throughout their reading adventures. Whether celebrating success of meeting your daily reading goal, or in persisting through a reading session, it’s important to acknowledge daily practice. This builds up the motivation to continue reading everyday. And- research shows that reading even 15 minutes everyday improves overall reading abilities (Block & Mangieri, 2002, p. 573), extending into better quality of life with greater academic, financial, professional, and civic benefits ((To Read or Not To Read, National Endowment for the Arts, November, 2007). What badges will you collect today?
